I have been using Netscape for reading newsgroups for a while now, and
all the sudden i'm getting an error message.

A News (NNTP) error occurred: No permission for 12.160.xxx.xx

Haven't found a good explanation for it anywhere else.

Sounds like your news provider is rejecting your IP address. One example
of how this happens is when I'm at home on my cable connection, I can't use
my company's news server.
