Hey all,
I'm running Windows XP and when things are connected via USB the drivers are automatically installed so the device can run. This works great with everything that I've connected. I have a Nokia N-Gage, and you connect it via USB to access the MMC. It comes shows up in 'My Computer' as another drive, and you can access it, copy and delete things on the card. On a new installation of XP, I plugged the N-Gage in and the drivers were installed but it didn't show up in 'My Computer'. I unplugged the USB and then plugged it back in again, nothing happened, I then noticed that the whole computer was froze and nothing would work. After turning the computer off and back on, I tired again. Froze my computer again. After booting up again, I deleted the N-Gage from the 'Device Manager' and tried again. Plugged the USB back in and the drivers were installed, but the same thing happened. I tried booting in Safe Mode, and deleted the N-Gage from the 'Device Manager' again. Plugged it back in and the drivers were installed again, but this time it showed up in 'My Computer', no problems. Tried it again in normal Windows and my computer froze again. Anyone got any suggestions on how to fix this? It's very annoying because I have to restart and boot in Safe Mode when I want to access my MMC. Thanks for any advice, -- Global_Killa "You're a victim of the rules you live by!" http://punkthenation.tk Global_Killa |

WinME was really huffy about that; didnot like the disconnect without notice. Perhaps you should try the same; maybe XP will not freeze up... |

Are you sure your USB drivers are up up date? not the device drivers, the
USB drivers.
