Default unable to delete desktop 'short cut'

Can someone help. I visited a music download page on the Net & as a result
got a short cut icon
on my desktop which I can't delete (It does delete but returns every time I
start up windows.

When i left click on the icon & go to properties, the target is '
c:/windows\ rundll32.exe C:\windows\system\msa64chk.dll,llmostrar
maxrix-html:MP3 collection'

I have tried to delete the above line from the short cut box but, again,
this has no effect.
Do I need to check out win:ini to delete this?

Any help gratefully received.

Kevin

It could be spyware, try downloading something like Ad-aware and running a
scan.

You could also try looking what starts up with Windows.
To do this, click Start -> Run. Type msconfig and hit enter.

This should bring up System Configuration Utility. Click the Startup tab,
and have a look through the list. This is everything that is set to start
with Windows. You can uncheck any of the boxes to stop the program from
being loaded.

See if you can locate something to do with the shortcut or website, and
uncheck the box. You will have to restart before the changes take effect.
If you make a mistake, and uncheck a program that should start, simply run
msconfig and recheck the box.

Hope this helped,
