Interesting problem this - The mysteries of playing dvd's on a combo drive.
Having recently purchased a new machine I'm naturally interested to see how
dvd's play-back.
Fine - under intervideo dvd 4 (Sample Version)? I play a video for about 20
mins.
Then I try it under windows media player - again, fine.
Next day, and thereafter I put dvd's into the drive to playback and nothing
happens in either program.
Why?
system here is xp home on a Pentium 4 3.0ghz 256mb video 1 ghz mem

Must admit I have noticed certain "Funnies" re: cd's/dvd's on my other
machine with dedicated drives.

so whats going on - and whats the fix.
