Eudora?

Hi,
I've been using Eudora (free version) for email with Windows 2000. Yesterday
I had a strange error message while downloading messages. It said it needed
to reload the table of contents. Then it informed me it couldn't load all of
it. Next it said it couldn't load any of it. Now when I go into my email
program, it appears and immediately disappears. A restart or shut down
didn't help. No viruses detected. I tried to reinstall it but it said I
didn't
have a necessary driver(?)
Any suggestions?
