Hi,
I have just fitted a Athlon XP2400 processor to an Asus A7V8X-MX
motherboard. During start up & when you go to the control panel / system
properties it says the computer has a XP1800 fitted. I am led to believe
that if you go into the bios/advanced tab & increase the FSB frequency
setting (currently reads 100mhz) it will make it all read correctly. The
problem is that i can't actualy change that setting as i am unable to scroll
& highlight that item in the bios, can someone help me please,

PS The ram fitted is 256mb 333mhz pc2700

Download the appropriate language manual. You need to set the jumpers on the
mainboard to 133MHz. The default is 100Mhz. Although you see the option in
the bios to change the setting, I don't believe that board operates in
jumperless mode.
