Hi all,
Have a startup problem (more of a "condition" than a problem) on a client's computer. Thought I'd see if any of you have any suggestions on how to fix. The computer had Win 2000 loaded. My client had someone remove Win 2000 and install Win XP Home. Now, when the computer is turned on, it goes through what looks like a normal bootup but then stops at a gray (not black) screen. Nothing on the screen but gray. Then, using the power button, we turn it off and turn it right back on. On this second startup it boots up and runs perfectly. Anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this situation? Any thoughts on how to fix? TIA Loren LPV |

This is kind of stating the obvious here, but try to reinstall the OS.
