Can't open some ZIP files?

Have a number of ZIP files, all with a normal .zip extension. Some will
open, some won't.
I checked the Properties of the ones I can and can't open.
The ones I can show on the Archive tab:
Version to extract: 2.0
Host OS: Windows
The ones I can't open show:
Version to extract 2.1
Host OS: DOS
I'm using XP and NTFS, are they likely to open on a Win98 machine with
WinRar or
WinZip on it.

what program are you trying to unzip them with? Do you have the latest
version?

Thanks for the reply. Using WinRar V3.0, there is a V3.3 and I would
upgrade to it or latest WinZip if I was sure either would open them.

well, you can simply download the latest winzip trial version at
www.winzip.com and see if it will work. Then you have your answer.
