Default Newbie: CD-Rom for IBM 560E Thinkpad

Hi,

I have a 2nd hand IBM 560E Thinkpad running Windows 95 that only has an
external floppy drive. I need to do a fresh reinstallation of Windows 95 and
Office 97. Can I get an external CD-Rom for this computer as I only have
this software on CD. Am I correct in thinking I need a "serial CD-ROM"? I
did a Google search for "serial CD-Rom" and came up with little intelligible
information.

Thanks for your help.
