To All,
A friend of mine has a Compaq 1245 laptop running Windows 98. After reformatting he can only get 2.1GB patitions instead of the entire 20GB partition. Any ideas to get the largest partitioin possible? Could this be a limitation of the original bios? Thanks Mike Michael Thomas |

If you use 95B or 98 (any flavor) you can use FDISK to create a FAT32 partition instead of the FAT partition you now have. FAT is limited to partitions of 2.1GB or less, FAT 32 is limited to partitions of ~2TB or less -- AIM: FrznFoodClerk email: de_on-lag@co_cast.net (_ = m) website: under construction Need a technician in the south Jersey area? email/IM for rates/services |
