Dictionary running in background

Hello,

Does anyone know if there are dictionary programs which run in the
background & allows me to point at a word & right-click to bring up its
definition? I seen something similar which would translate English word to
its Chinese definition.

hi Mike:
I have two dictionary on my PC.
IBM智能词典 and
金山词霸 。 they are very
方便convient. I ofen use them by point it and it gives me
the mean of English words mean. or Chinese words mean. do you use GB
Chinese ? Not Hongkong Chinese or Taiwan Chinese.you know I am in
mainland of China. Most of us use GB Chinese.If you want to know how
to translate tran-Big5 Chinese. I have a friend in Hongkong she may
help you.

Thanks for your response. I have seen a program which gives the Chinese
definition of an English word. What I am looking for is the English
dictionary definition of an English word I point to so I don't have to look
it up in a dictionary or copy & paste it into the online dictionary for
definition.

Try Word Web. There is a free version, or for 19$ you can try Word Web
Pro. I have the free version and it works great as an english dictionary.

I think I remember somethign called CleverKeys where you right click and
press something and it'll take you to the dictionary.com definition.

Yup I saw that too on the dictionary.com website. You highlight a word,
and then hit ctrl-l or something and it gives you the defenition
directly from their website. It runs in the system tray, and its free,
though some things ont eh dictionary.com website do cost money, the
definitions are free.

Here is an english dictionary which can use - type in the word or copy/paste
without having to go on line. Called Word Web. There's a free version at
http://wordweb.info/free/ Hope this helps.
