I just installed an Asound Express II PCI Sound Card (Crystal CS4281
chip set) into a Windows 2000 computer. Everything worked well except when I plug headphones in, there is a low frequency rumbling sound in the background when audio plays. Could the impedance of the headphones be too low for the card to drive? There are no printed specifications with the card. mcp6453 |

I'd try a better sound card. Asound cards are cheap stuff.
