Default MS Cerficate Authority

I need some help setting up a stand alone CA. I have a web site that I want
to enable secure https file transfer. I want to only allow users with
certificates to connect. I set up a CA, installed cerficate on site by
requesting a cert and then issuing request on CA. I then exported binary
cert from CA and then fulfilled request on website. I installed the public
key on client. I set IIS to require certificate. But it still does not
allow me to connect. In IE I get choose certificate box and their are no
certificates in box. In firefox I get site requires certificate. Can anyone
help me with this or point me to good article on this.

AFAIK IE doesn't support client certificates.

Firefox has its own certificate manager, did you care for that?

No, I was just looking for a solution to my overall goal of running a ssl
website (IIS) that requires certificate to login and certificate will be
manually sent by me.
