It depends. Have you checked in under your real name and do you wear a mask? lgr_joly@yahoo.com |

It depends on what individual identification you've done to get access to the wireless network. But if they just have it on and don't require any sort of credit card submission page, or whatever, you do have the potential to be pretty darned anonymous. Something like privoxy to handle browser identification or cookies and the like might give additional privacy. -- Todd H. http://www.toddh.net/ Todd H. |

Try this: "Tor: An anonymous Internet communication system Tor is a toolset for a wide range of organizations and people that want to improve their safety and security on the Internet. Using Tor can help you anonymize web browsing and publishing, instant messaging, IRC, SSH, and other applications that use the TCP protocol." http://tor.eff.org/ Regards, cypher -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGP 8.1 iQA/AwUBRASngyPnLg7nPH4AEQK2DQCaA/5+hkomyX42aK6jRkJUcSvEyowAmQGo 49fEPhoY9Icdt18JAqX4HNHf =hKXc -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- cypher |

No. It's a good way to visit sites from a different IP address. That's not the definition of anonymous. You might not even appear to be a different person at all in spite of the IP address change because IP address isn't the only way to identify you. Borked Pseudo Mailed |
