Any good book about data recovery?

Is there any good book about recovering data from slightly damaged hard
disks? I couldn't find anything but one really outdated book. Maybe some
incident recovery book discusses this in great detail?

try "Upgrading and repairing PCs by scott mueller" it has a whole
section on data recovery.

I hope this isn't the same book that you mentioned above but a
neighbor gave me a book called "The Paul Mace Guide to Data Recovery".
It's currently my book for reading when I'm traveling and I mention it
because it has a lot of basic information for recovering lost data.
Again it is a "dated" book and I have noticed that a lot of programs
that it recommends are very old but it is good for the basic nuts and
bolts information of data recovery.
