My desktop computer, which runs on Windows 98, has become infected with
lefeats.adware. Running Norton shows various files that are associated with it, Spyware Doctor finds infections and claims it has removed them, and Noadware does likewise. Still, my homepage in IE keeps getting changed to about.htm, and at least one file associated with this adware keeps showing up on my PC. I have tried installing CWShredder, but there is a missing dll file and so I haven't been able to install it. I have tried to delete the files from the DOS prompt, but I keep getting messages that the file(s) don't exist. I have tried to delete them from within Windows Explorer, and either the files don't show despite being set to show all files, or, if the file(s) show, and I try to delete them, either my system hangs or I get a message telling me that the program associated with it is in use. Does anyone have any idea of how I can get rid of this adware program and its files? John Nichols |

Thanks, donnie. I should have mentioned that I have already checked that
out. The applet that they make available doesn't completely do the job, and registry keys they say to delete aren't where Symantec says they should be, so I've had little luck in getting them off my hard drive.
