Is it possible that you are running out of memory? How are the load and number of connections at the time of the loss? Is just the outside lost, or does it hang? Darn, I can't remember at the moment if the 515E was susceptable to the hang problem, or if it was just the 515. Check out the "field advisories". -- "[...] it's all part of one's right to be publicly stupid." -- Dave Smey |

If that works, then you will need to look at "show xlate" and "show conn" during outage to see if there are excessive connections/translations. There are/were bugs with conn/xlates not timing out, didnt notice what version you are running in your post. |

I had the very same problem, but was using PIX OS 6.3.1 and a tunnel to 6.2.1 which caused it to go offline every 30-50 minutes. Here is was a bug in the PIX OS. TAC told me to upgrade and it hasn't went down since. "Teason" <> wrote in message news:... > Our PIX 515E looses its internet connection randomly. Hi had this exact same problem with my PIX 515 about a year ago and found
out that Cisco recalled several PIX 515s. They overnighted me a new PIX and everything has been fine ever since. Here is a link to the field notice http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/...800949c7.shtml. Hope this helps.
