Hello to the Group,
I have a heardware firewall, Watchguard Firebox 700, and it has a feature
called "HOST WATCH", with gives you a realtime view of what (or whom) is
currently accessing the IP address. It displays the IP address, and then
uses DNS to resolve to host.
Does anyone know of a program that will "emulate" this function...I want to
put a PC on one of my Public IP's, and watch the activitty. I use TCPVIEW
from sysinternals, and it sort of does this function....but want a more
investigative tool.

thanks in advance.

Eric,

Port Explorer (free) from
<http://www.diamondcs.com.au/portexplorer/index.php?page=home> is similar in
function to TCPView, but with more functionality. It has a packet log, plus the
paid version includes a lightweight packet sniffer.

Cheers,
Chuck
Paranoia comes from experience - and is not necessarily a bad thing.
