Default ISO 17799 Opinions

Hi

We are developing a commercial website where various aspects of
secuity and confidentiality are important. I've just heard about ISO
17799. Is this worthwile? Should we go for accreditation? Will we
gain much from it or is it just an impressive logo? What is the cost
in money and time?

Any experience or opinions are very welcome!

You should look into BS 7799-2:2002 instead. ISO 17799 is the code of
practice for implementing BS 7799-2. The latter is the certifiable
standard.
