Post a message from your server in alt.hackers.malicious requesting a penetration test. You will quickly become familiar with how insecure it is. Most security professionals charge for pen-testing, but there's a few people in there that will probably help you out for free. One more thing, you may want to have a backup image handy. Doesn't Microsoft's Baseline Security Analyzer run in Server 2003?
Microsoft has some info here, including a pointer to a new Threats and Countermeasures Guide for WinXP and Server 2003: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec...s/default.mspx Here is a list you might want to check out: http://www.insecure.org/tools.html Bit Tamer ----- Original Message ----- From: "Weasle" <> Newsgroups: alt.computer.security Sent: Wednesday, July 21, 2004 2:04 PM Subject: Server 2003 Security > Whats a good way to check the security of a server on the internet? That's pretty funny. Letting Micro$loth analyze it's own products. LMAO! Micheal Robert Zium |
