Employ someone who understands the business.

A computer and a copy of Linux?

Oh, and a complete in-depth understanding of every popular and unpopular
filesystem on the planet.

An in depth understanding of hardware, and a cleanroom
be useful

Fairly simple. Provide a web page that sells a collection
of common-sense data security items, and then
test and study it carefully. Make yourself available online
to instruct end-users in how to apply this collection
of products. I recommend to start:

PowerQuest DriveImage 2002
Outlook Express Freebie Backup
Spybot and AdAware links
Large USB hard drives >> 100 gig ( links )
Large Standard hard drives >> 160 gig ( links )
Symantec Raid appliance ( link )
A FAQ page on F-secure, McAffee, and Nortan AV
A FAQ page on why firewalls are nonsense
A link page to file complaints with Fed Trade Com
A FAQ page on how to deal with ebay, paypal, etc
A FAQ page on how to sue an ISP who is pushing spam
to force you to buy their filtering service.
A link page to news services like ZDNET, PC World
A FAQ page on how to avoid "expert" advice from
CS majors !!!!! and high school students.
A link page to submit criminal spam to valid organizations
who will inspect it.
An On-site PC tech page that will send out a guy who
knows how to slave a drive and recover your work.

There's lots of common-sense approaches to data
security that will get you past the know-it-alls and
CS majors .. that ACTUALLY work in minimal time
.... and greatly reduce the stupid jargon that an end-user
just doesn't want to hear anymore. Have your users
order through your site and package the collection
for them. And then, help them maintain it. That is
worth a small surcharge added to the bundle. Make
it clear that your service is valuable, and become an
on-line Security Psychologist .. much like a cheerleader
or aerobics instructor .. who will prompt them to stay
aware of the issues and develop a healthy PC.
