Default IIS security & MS lockdown tool

I ran the tool with the setting "static server", and then I couldn't start
up the ftp service. I ran the tool in "undo" mode and now I can use the ftp
again. Any suggestions on what setting I should use while running the
lockdown tool so as to still be able to use ftp?

Bryce.

folks like you are the exact reason microsoft's internet-server sales
are dropping. keep up the good work.

oh yea, if you're a commercial user, rather than a home user "learning",
hire a good admin. if you're the "admin", find a different career.

Easier than I thought. I just had to custom configure it during setup. I
didn't see this.

btw.... I'm neither. couldn't you think of more options?

honestly, i'd say you're a webdeveloper or something close, maybe even a
salesman, trying to help the company out by running a web server and
saving the company money by not hiring a web admin. it's common place to
do this... and it's great for nix lovers. the more idiots you put behind
the wheel, the more wrecks that occur, causing the information super-
highway to be inundated with collisions with IIS servers. keep up the
good work.

I'm just ****ing around with it really. In the big picture, small picture as
well, it doesn't really matter what happens to it.
