I wonder what the retail price will be compared to other Star Trek
series DVDS?

Well, I don't know, how *does* $35 compare?

Very well, and much better than I ever expected. I'm shocked it ain't
$125.00. Remember when Fox charged that for an X-Files season?

....Well, um, the fact that it's only two or three disks?

Yes, but this is Paramount, who are almost as bad as George Lucas when
it comes to "going back to the well" in their exploitation of uberfans.
It's still good news for me though, I will be buying them at $35.
Would not have considered it at $70 or higher. I'm also pleased the
packaging will reasonably match my TOS sets.

TV shows on DVD is now reporting that Paramount has bumped the SRP on
this set to $63. $35 is probably their standard pricing for a 3 disc
set, but then somebody saw it was Star Trek and added the "Paramount
trekkie tax."

Not to mention the neat new "future" 24th-1/2th-century Federation
hard-packaging, to bring it in line with the $100 live-Trek sets, and
which have a hard time fitting on your shelves anyway.
