4-6 weeks ago I was recieving DVD's from DVDSoon, quickest time 6 days
(Canada to OZ). Now I have been waiting over 4 weeks and nothing on a two packages that suppose to have been shipped. A few people have posted that no DVD's shipped by DVDSoon are not arriving.. Now I read this.. (Below) Question: Has anyone recieved DVD's from DVDSoon in the last weeks.?????? Cheers Lester Bangs Lifted from uk.media.dvd..... posted by Dragon (Dave) Ok guys if you are a big fan of Dvd Soon don't read This came from a friend of mine whom lives in Canada who got this from his friend whom works in the shipping department at Dvd Import who now own Dvd Soon. I have asked him questions regarding this issue but has said all what i tell you now is what he knows so no questions guys but comments welcome and as i said it is from a friend so how true this is i cannot say but i trust the friend. Ok here goes Since Dvd Import took over Dvd Soon most of the dvds on the site are listed as in stock so what has been happening is of course once people see that they will order and of course once you order the dosh is taken right away, he also said that most people will go elsewhere if a dvd is not in stock this is the ploy behind in stock on most dvds and really most dvds that say in stock are not and what then happens is you think that your order is going to be shipped in a few days and it doesn't, but like me my account says the order was shipped weeks ago. You then end up waiting 8 weeks before you can order replacements or refund and by this time the dvd or dvds you ordered should be in stock and of course sent right away. Also no shipment emails are being sent out to you which is very strange. I ordered 4 dvds in May and got one shipment email, got that dvd a week later but the other three dvds i did not get a shipment email and only knew they had been shipped by my account details 2 weeks ago and they where shipped the beginning of June. The friend to me this is a ploy to get customers back after the fiasco with Dvd Soon before they went bust but to me this is just as bad if not worse. 99% of dvds on their site say they are in stock but really only 30% actually are and this happens in Canada aswell as Internationally. Some of you guys might say no problems here and i was amazed at how quick the dvd i actually got was shipped but since then and reading posts on here i had to query why so many people i have spoke to are still waiting on dvds 4-5 weeks after shipment so this is why i emailed my friend who was on holiday for two weeks in Spain and got back to me last week and said he would ask around. Of course the other night he told me about this friend. Do i believe him, yes but if you don't i am sorry but i thought the info would give people a chance to think hard before ordering from Dvd Soon or Dvd Import. I have never actually used Dvd Import so don't know how reliable they are but judging by Dvd Soon they have a lot to answer for. So please think carefully before ordering from Dvd Soon and if anyone from this company wants to comment on here we would be grateful Dave Lester Bangs |

With all the issues DVDsoon had in the past i'm surprised anyone
would risk using them again. If after everything that happened you decided to keep using them IMHO you shouldn't bother complaining and should have learnt from the past experiences of people in this group with DVDsoon. I wouldn't touch that store again even if it was the only online store left. Superior customer service, relatively fast postal times. I've always received my parcels from them in a timely manner. They've been reliable, had most of the stock in I've wanted, and don't take your money until the item has actually been posted. You're also free to cancel your order at any time **providing it hasn't entered shipping stage** I know DVDSOON have had issues and quite a few people lost money from the old outfit that ran the store. I'd be very wary of dealing with this store esp. if it's taking longer and longer to get the DVDs. The new outfit could be much better, but I'd like proof, and I think they're unfortunately tainted by the mismanagement of the old outfit. It will be extremely hard for them to improve the business based on the number of customers who left and vowed never to use them ever again. - NewcastleBoy NewcastleBoy |

Simple answer: new owners are same as the old owners. There's plenty of info around on this bunch of crooks after the massive fraud from last year (and it keeps getting asked on these newsgroups). Anyone currently using them should not be surprised to lose their money. -- Mr Q ------------------- Mr Q |

whats wrong with them is a thing called GREED! if people think they are
getting a super bargain for next to nothing or in the case of dodgy investment schemes, make craploads of money without much effort, its amazing just how much $ they are willing to part with in order to achieve this & its their own stupid fault when it all backfires & the company directors flee to a Spanish resort with lots of other peoples money. I for one am sick of all these rules & regulations protecting people against their own stupidity, Canada obviously doesn't have those ....(lol) "Jeßus" <> wrote in message news > On Sun, 16 Jul 2006 21:08:45 -0700, dezza proclaimed: > > >> Have you all read this ? >> http://ansuz.sooke.bc.ca/creative/reviews/dvdsoon.php > > How's this for amazing stupidity... this is a comment someone left at the > above site: > > "JAYDEE from 220.237.130.21 at Sat, 15 Jul 2006 00:21:33 +0000: Toatally > disgusted with this site.Placed an order in Jan06 and yet to recieve > order...Silly me placed another order in April because found products at a > great price and proceeded to place another order...$300AUST later ....A > BIG FAT ZERO..
