Couldn't agree more. That's one of the worst packaging concepts ever. Even
with a sharp utility knife it's not easy, and of course you risk slipping
with the knife. I understand they want to minimize theft in the stores, but
there's gotta be an easier way than making the consumer suffer.

RFID chip placed IN the DVD itself. VIOLA! Problem solved.

They are making them smaller than a grain of salt now, BTW.

I'd bet that they could even be infused into the inner lip of the
hole in a disc.
