Without the proper information though, you're pretty much on your own with that. -- BD MCNGP #51 -- MCNGP.com - You know IT!? -- www.swppm.com |

As Arolly once said in microsoft.public.cert.exam.mcse

Can't your backup system handle that? What's scary here is that I have customers, some of which are paid minimum wage, who know how to do this. |

As BD once said in microsoft.public.cert.exam.mcse
> Yet my boss makes about $250K /yr (profit) and he can't figure it out. To be fair...most backup software is not geared for single file restore, or worse yet, restore a file to a different location. But at the same time, if you want to play network admin you should be able to figure it out - or pay someone to do it for you. |

Although I have been able to backup a single file, it takes time to queue it up and get it to where you want it. > But at the same time, if you want to play network admin you > should be able to figure it out - or pay someone to do it for > you. > I totally agree, one of the major tasks of a NetAdmin is, and always should be, Data Backup and Restore. That is what the entire job revolves around. If ya can't manage to handle that, then ya should just take up Basket Weaving.
