CSS sinking elements in columns layout?

Anyone manage to make a layout where elements inside columns 'sink down'
ie. float towards the bottom (as opposed to starting from the top)?

Imagine a 3 column page with all the content flowing up from the bottom..

I feel stupid asking this, it seems it would be really easy but its been a
day and I still havent managed to make it work in any way.
