All installed extensions suddenly gone !!!

Suddenly all my installed extensions are gone. There's nothing more
there under Menu / Tools.

I do see however that under

C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application
Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\l2n49sjy.default

everything still is there.

Has someone any idea what could have happened?

And does anyone know if it is possible that get everything running
again?
