Wireless Networking - Wireless Network Problems

Default Wireless Network Problems

I'm trying to set up an ad-hoc wireless network between my computer and
laptop.

I have set up ICS on the host PC, I can browse the internet on the
laptop when connected via a wire, it's the wireless that's the problem!

They seem to connect no problem, 5/5 signal strength. So no problems
there.

My laptop gets an IP of 192.168.1.204 no problem, using a gateway of
192.168.1.1. Everything seems rosy there. Except I can't ping any
address outside the laptop itself. They all timeout.

Any ideas? It's as if something on the laptop is not allowing it to
use the wireless connection as a network?

What a PITA this is, I'd be really grateful for any assistance.

Regards,
