Default Configure WPA on XP

Need help in configuring WPA(Wi-fi Protected Access) on a XP Professional
system. My environment details are as follows:
Router : Linksys WRT54g
Laptop : XP with SP2 (autoupdated)
I have enabled WPA on the router. When I go to the laptop's wireless config,
only WEP shows up. I tried applying the WPA patch but it refuses to install
(saying that I am running SP3!!). The latest downloaded drivers from Intel
site for my Wireless 2100 card installs but disables my wireless connection.
If I manually try to enable, it causes a BSOD(BAD_POOL_ADDRESS).
Any pointers are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi

If the drivers do not support WPA, there is nothing you can do about it.

If the manufacturer site claims that the drivers do support WPA and it does
not work when using Windows Zero Configuration, try to use the manufacturer
original Wireless Utility. http://www.ezlan.net/Wireless_Security.html
