Default Networking with a LAN

I have been running a wireless LAN with the host computer an XP and the
client a 98 using wirless adapter (BELKIN). The network and wireless
internet access works fine between these two computers. I recently purchased
a laptop with wireless capabilities and tried to add it to the network. I am
able to get wireless internet access but cannot get on the network. Can't see
the other two computers and the other computers can't see the laptop. Any
suggestions?

Check your third party security software. Every brand name computer sold
these days comes with a battery of such software and it is almost always
configured to block everything except Internet.

Ok. I know a little but help me out with "third party security software".
Does this mean firewall and how do I configure it? The laptop is a Toshiba
running XP Home BTW. Thanks!

Hi
May be this can Help.
Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings,

As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what is allowed
to be shared.
