Javascript and asp.net working together

I have built a system which contains two list controls. List on is populated from a database. I have on the page created a client side javascript which allows you to select an item in list one and by clicking on a client side standard button this is passed to list two. This part works fine with the client side Javascript passing the item into the second list.

My problem is when a asp.net button postsback to update a database with the contents of list 2. Since this was dynamically populated with items when you click on the button the .net code does not see the populated items.

Any help would be apreciated.
