Wireless Networking - Limited or no connectivity

Default Limited or no connectivity


My girlfriend has a wireless network that my laptop use to be able to connect
to but one day i shut it off and turned it back on and it wouldn;t connect it
just says limited or no connectivity and when i click repair it stops on
renewing your ip address. i can connect to other wireless internets but not
hers anymore. please help....

i manually put in the ip address and dns server and it works now... if
anybody has an idea what happened post it please.

Mike:

Could there be something wrong with her router?? Can other PC's not get onto
it besides yours.

I had a similar problem, and Linkysys tech support had me hit the reset
button on the router, redid the setup, and the problem went away. I had to do
it twice since then. Worked fine the last three months. Still don't know the
cause of the problem.

BTW, I didn't think it was a router problem as the one wired directly worked.
