Hi, one way I have learned to do things on pc's is by poking around using
different programs within the programs of Windows on my pc's. I got on my desktop and was curious to see if desktops were able to receive wireless signals without the use of a modem (like my new Laptop does). I went to control panel> wireless network setup wizard>then followed the steps. I put in a name for my 'connection' and clicked so that a flash drive would save the network settings, etc. well, I did the few steps and was planning to click "cancel' when I would get to the last step. However, there was no confirmation and the set up was final and I could not click BACK when I got to the end. well, I set up something and would like to un-do what i did or delete it. In the event that someday I make my desktop wireless, then I dont want this 'playing around step' to interfere with my new connnection. what do I need to make my 3 year old Dell to be wireless without a modem. thanks in advance for your help Azy |

You have to have a wireless PCI Card installed in the PC that you can buy at
your local computer store, then you will be able to make your desktop wireless. That program in windows xp comes on all computers but you have to have the hardware to make it work. -Eric P |
