Well,
After all we've done, including posting the old material and sending Tracker quality feedback, it appears that Tracker doesn't appreciate any of it. The site I setup, since Tracker was having problems with getting content to the web, provided some great, quality, feedback - nothing personal, it was really good feedback. In an email a couple days ago Tracker asked me to post the reviews and responses of the Book and I said that I would only put stuff on the web again if they provided fresh content from material that we've not already seen over the last year. This was the response I got: --- Tracker Response Start --- What, are you so ****ing cheap you can't afford to spend $40.00 to purchase my book? No big deal, "The Trackers" and I decided to post our responses to the reviews "World Wide" on Usenet. We want the world to know what "No One Else In The World" has done and written about it. Tracker --- Tracker Response End --- I (Mark) would like to thank everyone, again, that provided feedback, and that didn't flame me for trying to help. At this point, I'm with the rest of you. $40 to purchase something that's poorly written, contains no useful content, doesn't provide solutions to the described problems, HA! I personally think that you did 'the decent thing'. You gave this person a chance to at least learn something from the (very good) independent reviews that were submitted regarding the 'book' in question, rather than just dismiss the literary output regarding 'computer security' of this person, as merely the ramblings and eccentricities of a disturbed mind. I personally learned a lot from the reviews, and I think it was worth a try. Not many would have taken the time out to do what you did, and honestly try and educate someone who, even to my unlearned eyes, seems in desperate need of some education regarding their 'chosen field'. But ... This person has had more than a fair share of the groups' attention, and more than one chance to prove their worth. It is obvious to me now that they will never, ever learn. They have no shame, only a constant desire for attention. It would seem that in this case, the 'standard' warnings for this person were sufficient, and that further efforts to educate or to debate, would be ultimately futile. Good on you for trying anyway. Flame on .... Regards, Pete. PGP Public Key ID : 98ED9C55 IRC : irc.progameplayer.com #agut2003 Pete |

Valiant effort but there is none so blind as those who will not see. I haven't seen the promised responses to the reviews yet, but I'm looking forward to it. I'm tempted to buy the bloody book just out of curiosity. I think this could well become a piece of Internet folklore will sit around in an old folks home discussing Tracker by sending SMS messages to each other....... Mike |

Mark,
Sorry guy, but I could have foretold all of that happening. You're a good guy for trying, but it's impossible to get through to that woman. She is a bonfire mental case who will only stop when she ceases to draw air into that dope saturated, nasty carcass of hers.
