When my XP starts up, I notice that the tray icon for Norton Anti-virus is
disabled while computer boots, and then becomes enabled after the boot finishes. Is this normal? I remember my old Win98, I think NAV was the first thing active in the boot sequence. Thanks Jacko |

Are you seeing a big red cross over the tray icon, which suddenly disappears after a few seconds of hard disk activity ? I don't have a technical explanation why this might happen, only that it happened to me and that nothing 'malicious' was occuring at the same time. AFAIK ... HTH.
