I'm on XP Home Edition. Is anyone else having trouble using Windows Update? I am at the correct page, thru Microsoft.com, and the scan progress succeeds to a 100%, but then I get an error: 'Windows Update has encountered an error and cannot display the requested page.' I did the self-diagnosis tool and came up with the advice that my Service Pack 1 might be removed!? Should I be able to do a search for the service pack? Or is this a Windows update prob? Thanks PS to download the service pack 1a, you need to be able to access windows update! Jacko |

I had to temporarily delete from my hosts file to access the updates. a248.e.akamai.net cheers |
