If you are concerned about what your employees talk about when chatting on
the
'net, or who they are chatting to then monitoring software is one solution.

There are many products on the market which claim to be able to monitor chat
sessions in 'complete stealth mode' without the person using the computer
knowing about it. However these days many people are suitably computer
literate,
they could probably find out if they suspected you were monitoring them.

There is a new program called NetChatSpy which allows you to monitor MSN
chat sessions remotely - no extra software needs to be installed on the
systems being monitored. This is most suited to the situation where you have
several computers in a network or in your house (like in the kids rooms)
which are all
connected via an internet gateway. The program only needs to be set up on
the gateway system and can monitor chats on all of the other computers. You
don't need to access or install anything on the other computers at all
provided all systems
are connected via a hub or an internet gateway system.

FUD.

A network sniffer does this for free and without spamming folks on
usenet.
