If it's encrypted, no, not by monitoring network activity. They could still do it by monitoring your computer's activities though obviously. If the communication between you and the webserver in question isn't encrypted, they can log it centrally if they want to (though likelyhood is small they'd bother unless you're doing something iffy and they have reason to suspect it). If your company has a web proxy (most do) it could also be cached there. - -- Frode -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGP 8.0.2 iQA/AwUBPwqvj+XlGBWTt1afEQIjUACfemeYeTx3dneEHuAM35CccV Ute6YAoMiN 5nwk0J4n8pj+WaxvqKztX+vD =Wvb2 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Frode |

Hotmail uses SSL encryption for the login procedure to protect your password from being sniffed, but it doesn't use encryption once you're actually logged in as far as I know. If you want a 100% secure email service you might wanna have a look at something like www.husmail.com It uses encryption at all stages of usage until the mail leaves their servers (you can also encrypt the actual mail but from what you've said so far that doesn't seem to be the need), thus you'd be protected from anybody on your local network sniffing the traffic. - -- Frode -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGP 8.0.2 iQA/AwUBPw3QCOXlGBWTt1afEQKRoACgoGYNBtFIORqXbI4UiK74uZ qkBAsAn2nt iBiup+CE15rU05XCaI2ZoPwH =ixrx -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Frode |

That should've been hushmail - -- Frode -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGP 8.0.2 iQA/AwUBPw6ED+XlGBWTt1afEQJjUgCg86f9x8UeGuQKCHH+vhPd6j O1KEsAoK3g qYs/8sGrdyYgTWN81hy3e5Wx =b+/u -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Frode |
