I'm preparing to take exam 70-293. I'm using the TestOut ITC and the
Microsoft Self-Paced Training kit. Most of the material for this exam seems to be similar to exam 70-291. I'm still at the beginning of the training but can anyone tell me if this is the case. Also how many questions are on exam 70-293 and what the time limit is. Thanks Isam isam |

I found that most of what I needed to know for the test I learned from 291.
There are more objectives listed in the course description, like clustering, but I also used the Microsoft training kit and did fine. Every test I've taken lately has been 40 questions, and 200+ minutes. I've always had plenty of time to finish my Microsoft exams, so I just set aside a 4 hour block to take off from work =D "isam" <> wrote in message news: oups.com... > I'm preparing to take exam 70-293. I hate top-posting, but this is to both of you.
The number of questions on an exam *VARIES*....they change the exams all the time. Why does it matter anyways? Now, MG, you seem like a pretty smart guy, so I'm giving you a little heads up here. By disclosing the number of questions on an exam, you've just violated the NDA that you signed when you took the exam, and that can have dire consequences. You already know MS reads all of these posts. Did anyone *give you* that information before you took the exam? Let these halfwits figure it out on their own. -- Bigus Di©kus MCNGP #00110011 -- MCNGP.com - 200 proof "Mostly Gizzards" <> wrote in message news:O6jbJ$... >I found that most of what I needed to know for the test I learned from 291. >There are more objectives listed in the course description, like clustering, >but I also used the Microsoft training kit and did fine. > > Every test I've taken lately has been 40 questions, and 200+ minutes. This question has been asked hundreds and hundreds of time over in the many different forums and the same answer shows up every time. If you would spent a little time reading instead of just posting your silly little question, you would have realized that the number of questions on the exams does not matter. What matters is that you know the material. If you don't know the material, then you're not going to pass regardless of if there are 10 questions or 100 questions. Go take the exam and figure out for yourself just how many questions are on the exam. If you're not prepared, it won't matter. -- Bigus Di©kus MCNGP #00110011 -- MCNGP.com - 200 proof |

BD is right - there is no point in knowing ahead of time. And thanks BD for
the heads up - I didn't realize the number of questions was NDA fodder. I am always careful about things like "what was on the test" and basically only say "The stuff that Microsoft tells you will be on the test WILL be on the test so be ready." And Isam, BD is very passionate (along with other MCNGP's on the boards) about maintaining the integrity of the certification, so don't be offended, be thankful. If you get your certification, you want it to be worth something. I know I do. Whats important is that Microsoft WILL give you more than enough time to take the test, assuming you have half a clue of what you're doing in there. So, study hard and good luck to you on the test. Anyone joining this forum for the first time will obviously ask questions that may have been asked many times before. Even a genius has to ask questions. I find it hard to believe that you could be in a customer support environment with your bad attitute and stupid comments. You should go and get yourself a life, maybe a girlfriend too. |

BD, don't bother answering mate. Isam, if you have an opinion, by all means express it. Try, however, to express it succinctly, sensibly and politely. Above all, an intelligent, witty and topical reply will always elicit favourable comments. Yes, I know we mostly jump in feet first and insult people; but we're gradually coming around, we are all passionate about the certification. Your childish "kick me, punch you" attitude doesn't help. yeah and even an idot can use a search engine to find out the answer to a question which as been answered countless times before. So what does that make you then? Kline Sphere (Chalk) MCNGP #3 |
