Default 2000 to 2003 upgrade

A friend of mine has offered me his 2000 books at no charge. Does anyone know
if I can still take the 2000 tests and then upgrade to 2003?

The reason I ask is that I saw a similar post on another website saying that
the upgrade test for 2003 was no longer available.

It didn't sound right to me, so I thought that I would check with those who
would know.

Thanks
