It's like they'll fail if they don't know. Would they NOT take the exam if there were 150 questions? Or would they jump right in if there were only 5 questions? I've taken exams (College Exams) with 5 questions that were 1000X more difficult than the exams with 150 questions....and vice versa. I don't know...maybe times have changed and the number of questions gages how well a person will do on an exam. Could there be a direct relation between the number of questions and the number of failures? Hmmm... something to research. -- Bigus Di©kus MCNGP #00110011 -- MCNGP.com - 200 proof |

A friend asked me this recently. This is how I responded :
/// Well, I guess it is because they want to mentally prepare themselves. If they know that time is not going to be a constraint, then they can comfortably take their time on each question. (And that would reflect in their preparation and practice) If however, time is short, then it automatically makes the test more difficult, since you don't have the luxury to dilly-dally on choosing an answer. \\\ All psychological, I guess. |

I thought this group is to help people?? All I have found is jerks!! For
your information I work in an ICU in a hospital. I have to tell them HOW MANY HOURS I WILL BE GONE SO THEY CAN HAVE SOMEONE TO COVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Would you want your wife or mother in the hospital in ICU and no one there to take care of them because your brother and sister MCSEs would not answer a question. I AM SURE SOME OF YOU KNOW HOW MANY QUESTIONS ARE ON THE TEST. I am proud to be part of the same group as you people. What a waste of time you people are. Vince winced with displeasure and evinced his opinion as :
>> I thought this group is to help people?? Yes, of course. But there's a tiny unsaid part after that. and that is "who help themselves." I assume of course, that you've heard of the saying "God helps those who help themselves." >> All I have found is jerks!! Well, maybe that's better than finding tremors in these earthquake prone areas. >> I have to tell them HOW MANY HOURS I WILL BE GONE SO THEY CAN HAVE SOMEONE TO >> COVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But you asked how many questions there would be on the test. If you had simply asked us "How many hours will I be gone ?", I think you would have got relatively more useful answers. >> Would you want your wife or mother in the >> hospital in ICU and no one there to take care of them because your brother >> and sister MCSEs would not answer a question. I fail to see how an MCSE relates to working in an ICU, but I'll pass over that. I also fail to see how not answering a question could land someone in ICU. But I'll pass over that as well... >> I AM SURE SOME OF YOU KNOW HOW >> MANY QUESTIONS ARE ON THE TEST. <Rubbing ears now to blot out the shouting> Yes, you're right about that, considering that many of the experts here have given that exam. >> I am proud to be part of the same group as >> you people. Yeah, me too. >> What a waste of time you people are. Did you consider how much time it takes to open your browser, navigate to "groups.google.com", paste in the search text I had provided to you, and read the first or second post that you find. Did you consider that my suggestion to you implied that this is a Very Frequently Asked Question, as well as a very Frequently Answered Question too. Did you also realize that your question could at best be answered by a range of the no. of possible questions, since an accurate number would imply violation of the exam NDA. |

Why are you changing fields? Unless of course you are already in IT, in which case I wouldn't want you to be the only person working on my family anyway. Now as to your scheduling needs, look up the stats of the test, and take the test time + check in + travel + bathroom + last minute study, and that's how long to be gone. > I AM SURE SOME OF YOU KNOW HOW > MANY QUESTIONS ARE ON THE TEST. Roughly, but it varies. > I am proud to be part of the same group as > you people. That's nice. > What a waste of time you people are. But you just said... -- Mitch "yer such a Jameshole" S. Normally, I'd do a detailed reply like Cerebus did, but you're not even worth that. |
