Hey there kiddies, yes I do still live. And now I have a window!!!
Sorry to have been so remiss in my abuse of posers/lamers/etc., of late but I've been doing nothing but contracts for about a year now. Just got on a 6 month contract with sprint now so I should be able to contribute a little more frequently again. Meanwhile back on the ranch: Here's the issue, I think it's an AD settings issue at this point I just wanted to see what others think. I’ve uninstalled/reinstalled the communicator, checked the settings and the sip server, I also went into add/remove programs and repaired the communicator. I logged into the users computer under my profile and was able to connect to the Communicator with no issues. Changed the users profile name and had him log back in under his profile to make sure the profile is not "broken", user is still unable to log into communicator with the "new" profile. Deleted "new" user profile and restored "old" user profile. When logged in under the users profile the communicator does not connect at all but his Outlook is connected. He stated he had been using the communicator previously. They changed passwords last week (mandatory password change for NT security settings) and he stated after that he had to log in to communicator under his old password, this should not be the case he should have been able to log in by clicking on "sign in" when logged in under his profile with the new password. I had him change his current domain password again and he logged back in with the new password but we are still not getting him logged into communicator. I’ve now logged into the users domain account profile on my PC and am still unable to connect to MS Office Communicator under his login id. But I am able to use it on my PC under my login id. The issue seems to be his domain account settings to some degree. Sandworm MCSE, MCP, A+, MCNGP #00100001, YABBADABBADOO =?Utf-8?B?U2FuZHdvcm0=?= |

It really has nothing to do with the dead guy I just got to work and I need breakfast, maybe I could use the Mt. Dew can for a tracheotomy but man that would be a big scar. -- Sandworm MCSE, MCP, A+, MCNGP #00100001, YABBADABBADOO |
