No, the smart move would be to use a less oddball sensor and put some
quality control into their manufacturing.

Well, they're building lenses with those same brand mounts, and building the
Kodak DCS Pro 14/c with Canon mount, it should be an easy step to build a
body with the Foveon sensor and Canon/Nikon mounts...
If they can reverse engineer the lens mounts, why can't they reverse
engineer the camera mount? For fear of running afoul of confidentiality
agreements between Canon and Kodak?
