Must be really soft ground if throwing a sensor at it breaks it...

Or do you mean that they encased it in cast iron to make the camera
not just take average pictrures but also weight 10 kg?

Any owners of Nikon F100s and F5s switching to sigma digital - I'm willing
to buy up the bodies (if in mint condition) for cheap. oh, wait - I also
know a brdge I can exchange for them

In case Canon and Nikon announces they will start shipping their
lenses sith a Sigma mount, then I will jump ship.

The camera is only half the equation.

Thanks, but I already own several bridges.....I am very lucky, however,
because someone keeps cleaning and painting them for me, so I must have also
bought an extended maintenance warrantee.........

I always wonder if the Americans who bought London Bridge thought they
were getting Tower Bridge.

Would the smart move for Sigma be to make the camera with Nikon or
Canon mounts?

They already did, well kinda.

They are called the Kodak DCS Pro SLR/n and DCS Pro SLR/c respectively.

The SLR/n is not Sigma based, though it is possible that Sigma may be
contracted to do the conversion work and provide some parts - it's
mainly an F80/F100 thing.
