I receive audio just fine from the below listed link when using IE as a
browser, but cannot when using the Firefox browser. www.lesfemmes.batcave.net I really like FF, but will have to dump it for IE if I cannot find a solution to this problem. Thanks for any info you can give me. Charles |

In short the page is coded so you can ONLY use Microsoft products. However, there is a way to enable recognition of the tag <bgsound> in Firefox. https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1765/ Stop Autoplay It provides a function where you can control embedded music on pages as well as including a bgsound to embed convertor. works well on the above page! Remember to restart after install and to set the controls to show a controller for the embedded sound (and to convert bgsound as well) |

There was an extension (<https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/146/>), but it's for an older version of FF. Feel free to search for "firefox bgsound tag" in the search engine of your choice. -- Andy Luddy Perform appendectomy to reply |

Besides providing the bgsound to embed function, it also provides a utility to control embedded sounds in pages. Sure thats more than what the OP wants, but heck, its a bonus <g> |

There are extensions that offer a fix, one of which is http://bgmconductor.svist.net/. Others will probably offer other solutions. -- Ed Mullen http://edmullen.net http://mozilla.edmullen.net http://abington.edmullen.net Just because I have a short attention span doesn't mean I ... um ... er .... uh ... |
