I need a router to handle a company network separated in three VLANs. The network will consist of three VLANs, one with about 20 users, another one with about 50 users, and one VLAN where the company servers will be placed.
The 1711 router has an integrated four port switch supporting up to 16 VLANs. My plan is to connect the three VLANs to this router/switch and use it for inter-VLAN routing. This router will also share the internet connection of 10Mbps using NAT.
What I'm concerned about is the throughput of the VLAN routing. The file server of the company is to be placed in the server VLAN and it will be serving most users in the first VLAN with 20 users, and many of the users in the VLAN with 50 users. So can you tell me, how well does this router perform in routing traffic between it's VLANs?
Thanks
Jakob
