Microsoft Certification - product Id

Default product Id


i have a product Key ...is this the same as a product Id i can not get any
help because it saids my product id is in vadid. well i brought this
computer new from dell . any help will be usefull thanks chip

The Product Key is not the same.
Right click My Computer and click Properties.
The Product ID is the 20 character string under "Registered to"

But this will not help you.
Since you have a Dell, Windows XP is OEM and Microsoft will not give you
free support.
Contact Dell, or post your problem in the appropriate newsgroup:

Chip,

When I bought my Dell, the sales person had a name. Dell probably gives
them numbers. Look in your sales documentation. The sales # will be
entered in the sales persons data.

It is a long road, but it is all I can offer.
