Hello.
I would like to be MCSA certified and have bought the "MCSA Self-Paced Training Kit: Microsoft® Windows® 2000 Core Requirements, Second Edition" books - http://www.microsoft.com/MSPress/books/6274.asp A CD-ROM with a "Test-readiness tool that generates timed, 50-question practice exams with automated scoring" comes with the package, and I've taken several tests for my first exam. My average score are 48 correct answers out of 50 questions. But is this readiness tool worth anything? Do I need to take an expensive Transcender practice test to be sure that I'm ready to pass the real MCP exam? Please advise. Thanks in advance. Best regards, Michael Geertsen =?Utf-8?B?TWljaGFlbCBHZWVydHNlbg==?= |

I am working through the MCSA track myself. I found the MS Press books
have been useful but the Transcender and Selftest software exams helped fill in gaps in my knowlodge. Be aware that Transcender and Selftest seem to be made by the same company and are very similar in terms or functionality and test questions (although Selftest is about half the price). Real world experience with using the OS is probably the most important part of preperation though. HTH |

Thank you for your reply. I know that practical experience is the best, and I also make use of that as much as I can. I'll try to see if I can find a Transcender test where I'm working - I might be lucky |
