Friends,
I was using windows XP Pro. on my machine. Suddenly motherboard got problem and no more display I bought new motherboard and processor, and format my hard disk to install a fresh windows XP Pro. With the same Product key I installed windows but once I went to Activate windows by using Internet I got this Message: “Activate Windows Product Key According to our records, the number of times you can activate Windows with this product key has been exceeded. Please enter a different key, and then click Retry. The 25-digit product key can be found on the Certificate of Authenticity (COA) label attached to your computer or Windows documentation. It should look similar to the following example:” Then there is an example of picture and at the end after some more info there is a Message Number :45092. I am wondering why it happened coz I am using same machine and currently I am not having the old win running. Is there a simple way that if I format my machine 10 times I can install and successfully activate windows without any problem? Waiting for your input. Thanks Saine =?Utf-8?B?U2FpbmU=?= |

Simply choose the option to activate by phone.
Call Microsoft at the displayed number, usually done in about 5 minutes. -- Jupiter Jones [MVP] http://www3.telus.net/dandemar In memory of our dear friend, MVP Alex Nichol http://www.dts-l.org "Saine" <> wrote in message news:840A30A4-1B6D-4121-9259-... > Friends, > > I was using windows XP Pro. on my machine. The reason the activation failed is due to hardware changes (i.e.
motherboard), which prevented the on-line activation from validating that this install is onto the original machine. Like Jupiter Jones said. you will need to activate by phoning Microsoft.
